First video platform introducing HDTV 1080i to medical and surgical endoscopy

EVIS EXERA II is the first video platform which introduces HDTV 1080i to all fields of medical endoscopic imaging. Launched in autumn 2005 for Olympus upper and lower GI tract medical endoscopes, the EVIS EXERA II imaging platform now introduces HDTV 1080i to laparoscopic surgery. This allows for O.R. standardisation and new procedures.
Together with the HD EndoEYE video laparoscopes EVIS EXERA II brings a previously unachievable image quality to practical reality in the O.R. With almost more than double the number of vertical scanning lines and increased horizontal resolution the image is incredibly sharp. This allows the system to display even the tiniest capillaries and delicate mucosal structures thereby aiding diagnosis, e.g. when investigating suspicious lesions.
