Chaplin in pictures
The world of the best-known film comic ever comes to life at the Deichtorhallen. Photographs, film stills and clips as well as memorabilia and personal documents demonstrate Chaplin's commitment and heart-warming humour. Classic films like Modern Times and The Great Dictator will be on show, as well as recently discovered private films and photographs. This large-scale exhibition is the first to present an overview of the universal and timeless quality of Charlie Chaplin (1889-1977) - the man that made people smile.

Besides home videos and movies photographs from the Keystone album, most of which have been inaccessable to date, show Chaplin not only as an actor and director but also as husband and father.
