| The Olympus AU5400 system is the maximum throughput analyser from the new Olympus system platform design concept. It is available as a 2 or 3 photometric unit version including 1 single or double cell ISE unit. This leads to photometric results of up to 3200 or 4800 tests/h, ISE results are up to 900 or 1800 tests/h respectively and a typical throughput of 300-800 samples per hour.
This data clearly demonstrate the outstanding throughput performance of the Olympus AU5400 in the field of the true random access analyser. In addition to this the system also offers real workstation consolidation capabilities with up to 98 different analytes available at any time. With a menu of clinical chemistry testing as well as specific proteins, immunoassays, TDMs and DAUs. The hardware and the software of the system are both based on the unique standardised platform concept of Olympus analyser family. The heart of the platform concept is the well established sensitive SPOT photometry system which provides optimum accuracy even at smallest sample and reagent volumes, thus gaining a valid diagnostic whilst ensuring cost effective operation. Confident sampling operation is guaranteed by clot detection and crash prevention systems of the Olympus AU5400.
Hands on time is further reduced by the inclusion of automatic sample predilution, auto repeat and auto reflex testing capabilities of the Olympus AU5400 system. The advanced calibration feature of the Olympus AU5400 , which can store up to 5 calibration curves of different lots and reagent bottles eliminates calibration activities during routine testing and thus streamlining complete workflow. Walk away times are maximised by a sample feed capacity of up to 300 samples at any time and continuos rack feed during operations. STAT sample testing is possible due to the pass lane and lane changer design of the sample rack transport system even during peak workload conditions.
The Olympus AU5400 , as with the AU2700 , AU640 and AU400 works on the Olympus standardised platform in terms of software and reagents. The compatible Windows NT driven user interface of these analysers is easy to operate and self explanatory. This means that if you can run one of our systems you can run them all which offers unique advantages in terms of staff training requirements and job rotation needs.
The ready to use liquid stable Olympus System Reagents (OSR) have been developed in tandem with our analysers and therefore a 100% compatibility over the whole range of analysers is guaranteed. The result is the most effective and efficient analytical system performance for small, medium and large laboratories.
