Specifications
Save precious time and gain efficiency in the lab with the OLA2500HS High Speed Sorter Lab Automation System, the high-throughput sample processing unit with pre- and post-analytical capabilities. The Olympus OLA2500HS High Speed Sorter is an advanced modular automation system designed for high-volume laboratories and compliments the complete OLA2500 Lab Automation System. The Olympus OLA2500HS High Speed Sorter decaps and sorts a variety of sample tubes – for pre-sorting of samples or sorting into analyser racks for direct tube analysis. The system also sorts tubes to any storage rack for archiving purposes.

Features & Benefits

The Olympus OLA2500HS High Speed Sorter is another product in the Olympus Lab Automation line of solutions to increase productivity and efficiency in large to extra large - volume laboratories. It automates labour-intensive tasks such as sample identification, decapping, output sorting, and archive preparation of sample tubes.

Automates your sample-processing requirements

Streamlines workflow with maximum throughput of 1200 tubes per
    hour with decapping and sorting.
Minimize your staff’s biohazard exposure, reduce errors, and
reduce repetitive motion injuries associated with manual sample
    processing.
User-defined applications for sorting, decapping, and archiving.
Identifies commonly used barcode formats including Code128,
    NW7, Int. 2 of 5, Code 39, and ISBT Code 128. Handles a
variety of tube sizes and heights (10.5 – 17mm diameter,
    70-110 mm height).
Flexible decapping of all commonly used primary tube closures
including both rubber caps as well as screw caps even in
    parallel.
Builds any customised rack for analysis or storage including
Olympus, Abbott, Bayer, Beckman-Coulter, Hitachi, Tecan,
    and others.

Expect greater productivity and increased efficiency

High capacity with customisable input and output sort areas.
The input area holds up to three trays containing as many as
    300 samples.
The 6 output-sorting drawers can hold as many as 1080
samples with as many sorting areas.
Sort to workstations in specific analyser racks and archive
to storage racks all in one step.
Access samples without interrupting the instrument with
    electronically controlled drawer bays.

Flexible sorting capabilities

Sorts a variety of sample tubes at high speeds to meet peak
load demands and stringent TAT requirements.
Archive samples in parallel with sorting or separately in batch.
User defined sorting areas accommodates any analyser
    sample rack.
Reduces the number of "problem tubes” at the analytical
workstations by sorting out the tubes with bar code label,
    test order, and decapping problems.

Enhanced software including image analysis

Easy to use, reliable touch screen graphic user interface
with real time update of the instrument and sample status.
Specimen tracking enables quick identification of samples
at the sorting areas or in the archive tray.
An image of every tube is analysed and stored to determine
sample tube size, type, cap colour, and volume determination.
Operate in host query or batch using RS232C protocol using
    standard AU data format.
Software package allows definition and customization of
    unique sorting rules.

Tailored, expandable system configurations

Sorting definitions can be easily changed in the software, as
are sorting areas with automatic tray recognition.
The OLA2500HS High Speed Sorter system is designed for
conversion to the full OLA2500 S3 system including aliquoting
    options as your needs change.
